PHILLIP LONEY | CLUB MANAGER
Phillip comes to Brook Valley CC from Treyburn Country Club, a sister McConnell Golf property. There, Phillip was the Clubhouse Manager since the Spring of 2009. He attended Appalachian State University and graduated with a business degree in Hospitality Management. Following college, he spent several years traveling and working across the Southeast and Southwest of the country with some of the top hotels in the industry but it was in Charlotte at Piper Glen, a PGA Tour Club, where he had his first experience with country clubs. He quickly learned and continued to grow in this field and worked at three additional clubs - Ballantyne Country Club, the Peninsula Yacht Club and Vanderbilt Legends Club - before joining McConnell Golf.
ASHLEY ODOM | MEMBERSHIP DIRECTOR
Ashley is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a degree in Communication Studies, has worked in customer service for 8 years and in sales for the last 11. Ashley was born in Henderson, North Carolina and has resided in Greenville, NC since 2000, with her husband George and two children, Mackenzie and Tucker. She enjoys being outdoors camping, kayaking, and paddle-boarding. In her role, Ashley will be helping to bring new life to Brook Valley Country Club as we welcome in staff and members to a newly renovated, energetic country club and golf course. With a vast array of family friendly amenities, social activities, and engaging club elements, the club will be a hub for Greenville and the surrounding areas for top quality service and offerings.
KENRIC HUNT | EXECUTIVE CHEF
Kenric's culinary background and training will bring members and guests great dining experiences at their regular dinner service, banquet functions and special events at BVCC. Kenric comes to Brook Valley from the culinary department at Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach of which he worked for the past 8 years, most recently as the Sous Chef at the Ocean Club. Kenric's career has encompassed great accomplishments over the past 20 years, from opening the Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville restaurant in 2002, attending both Johnson & Wales and the Horry County Technical School for Culinary Arts, and earning his degree of Associate in Applied Science Culinary Arts Technology. Kenric has participated in ACF competitions earning one gold, two silver, and two bronze medals over the last five years of competing. Kenric is married to Michelle and has two young boys Noah (5) and David (1).
RILEY KINLAW | DIRECTOR OF GOLF
Riley Kinlaw, our Head Golf Professional at the Reserve Golf Club, has accepted the position of Director of Golf at Brook Valley Country Club. He has been a valuable asset to our company at both the Sedgefield Dye Course (Cardinal) and the Reserve. Riley has had previous experience at Brook Valley where he was an Assistant Golf Professional from 1996-1999. His experience in the golf industry, providing first class customer service, organizing programs for all levels of golfers and creating a positive culture within the golf operations are some of the great assets Riley brings for the Brook Valley membership. His wife, Julie, is an ECU graduate and they have two beautiful children, Audrey (8) and Melissa (1).
CHRIS PARHAM | GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT
Chris, Originally from Henderson, NC, Chris, raised on a farm, realized his love for working outdoors at an early age. His first experience working with a golf course was at Kerr Lake Country Club and it was there that he found his calling in the golf course maintenance field. Chris graduated from North Carolina State University with degree in Turf Grass Management and soon starting his career as an Assistant Superintendent at Lane Tree Golf Club in Goldsboro NC (a course that was under construction at the time). After spending several years as an assistant, Chris became the Superintendent in 1995 and held that position till 1998. He then took a position as Superintendent at Greenville Country Club in April 1998, where he remained until December of 2014. In January 2015, he joined the BVCC staff and is honored to be part of a growing club and course.
